ARTISTS NEEDED FOR MAY BETHLEHEM ART WALK
A lot of people ask how they can get space to show their art or expose their music with the L.V.A.N. The truth is, as much as we are flattered your noticing what were up to and as much as we want everyone on board, time as well as space is always limited. If you desire a show at Homebase , talk with us and please be patient, but this is an offer I think would be a great opportunity for ANY local artist or musicians to check out.
This seems like a great chance to network with other local artists and gallery owners, as well as display you talents to a wider base. The Downtown Bethlehem Association (DBA), a council of the Greater Lehigh Valley Chamber of Commerce (GLVCC), is looking for artists and musicians to participate in the 2010 season of ArtWalks, which will take place on the last Saturday of May, June, July and August.
ArtWalk is a great opportunity for artists and musicians to showcase their talents to visitors to Bethlehem’s Main and Broad Streets. The 2010 season will take place on May 29, June 26, July 31 and August 28 from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m.
Artists and musicians will be hosted by retail shops and restaurants in the Historic District and are welcome to participate while following this criteria:
- Participants are asked to practice or perform their art as well as showcase completed pieces and/or works-in-progress
- Participants are asked to engage in the spirit of celebrating arts in the Lehigh Valley as well as the enjoyment of activity on the streets of Bethlehem
- Participants may only showcase their own ORIGINAL art work.
No vendor fee will be charged for participation in ArtWalk. However, artists and musicians MUST register with the Downtown Bethlehem Association. Registration deadlines are as follows:
For May’s ArtWalk: Register by Friday, May 7
For June’s ArtWalk: Register by Friday, June 4
For July’s ArtWalk: Register by Friday, July 2
For August’s ArtWalk: Register by Friday, August 6
